HELP / INSTRUCTIONS

Before any content can be upload at “VideoShots.net” (or the “site”) users must register. This is a user friendly site and its free to use.

Registation

1. On the front page at the top right corner, click on the drop down menu and slect you language of choice.

2. Then, on the front page at the top right corner, click on "Sign Up."

3. Then, fill out the account information in the "Sign Up" box. Provide an appropriate "User Name" that is friendly to everyone. No profound or inappropriate names or you will be removed for the site.

4. Fill out all spaces. Any line that has an asterisk ( * ) beside are the minimums requires to register with this site. The "Verification" line must be filled out with the letters or numbers as shown in the grey code box above the line.

5. Read the "Terms of Use" and the "Privacy Policy."

6. And, if you are over 14, click on the "Sign Up" button. A verification email will be sent to your email address. You must reply to the email verification in order to continue use of the site. This is a safety requirement to make sure that the User is legitimate.

7. Then, you can click on "My Profile" can fill out "Personal Information," "Location Information," and Random Information." This is a User option and is not required.

8. You can upload an "Avatar" or a photo of yourself or any other appropriate photo in your "Personal Information." Remember, no obscene pictures or User will be removed from this site. We will give you only one warning if the picture is inappropriate and User will have 24 hours from the warning to change the picture. If not removed within the 24 hours, User with be banned from this site.

Uploading Videos

1. After verifing your email, click on "Upload" button and fill out the required information on your video.

2. The short "Title" you want to the viewers to see.

3. In the "Description" box, make a short description about your video.

4. In the "Tag" line, place one or more keywords that would be used for search engines to locate your video. Example, if your video is about a race car crashing, put the following same keywords in the "Tag" line: Car Crash Racing Accident (No commas required)

5. Select 1, 2 or 3 of the "Video Channels" you think relates to your video for viewers. A check mark will appear in the box you have selected.

6. Then click on the "Submit" button. Another window will appear.

7. You have two upload options.

First Option: You can click on the "Browse" button and select a video file from the hard drive on your computer you wish to upload. Select the "Public" or "Private" as shown (Public Recommended). Then click on the "Upload" button to upload the video file from your computer. If you feel you need to redo the process, you can click on the "Reset" button to correct or change the information. After clicking the "Upload" button, an upload orange timeline bar will show the progress of the upload. When the upload is completed, another window will appear requesting addition information about the video; that is, the date and location. This is an option and is not required. You can skip this by clicking on the "Finished" button and your are done.

Second Option: If you have a script code for a video you can click on the "Embed" button. Copy and paste your script code into the "Embed Code" box. Fill out the rest of requested information shown in the "Embed Code" box and then click on the "Upload" button. You can estimate the during time of the embed vidoe you intend on uploading. It can be revised by editing your vidoe at a later time. After clicking the "Upload" button, an upload orange timeline bar will show the progress of the upload.
